How to make a ceramic sculpture

The top of the tower

The tower has 3 different glazes on it. Here you see the top of the ceramic sculpture. The top was coated with a crystal glaze, the runs really much during firing. It makes the top glasslike.

Final magical tower

To get an idea of how big this large ceramic sculpture is, have a look at the process images bellow. It is huge and waigts 9 kg. It is inspired by coralreves in the sea. The magical ceramic tower bend a bit during firing. 

The bottom of the tower

Here you see, the bottom of the ceramic sculpture. It has a very porous surface. I think it resamples a coralreve, very well.
